2010 Midwest Anesthesiology Conference

Abstracts for the 2010 Midwest Anesthesiology Conference will be printed in the program book and distributed to all meeting attendees at the November 13, 2010 conference. Abstracts must be 400 words or less and include references. Images can be included but may reduce the allowable word count. No names or titles should be included in the abstract title or text. Nor should the abstract title appear in the text. Names will be automatically hidden from the Scientific Program Committee during abstract review and will be automatically inserted and properly formatted upon publication.
A unique ID number and password will be assigned to each abstract submitted. Notification of submission will be sent to the first author via email. Abstracts may be viewed and modified at any time between submission and the October 2 deadline using the assigned ID# and password.
The first author will be notified of the acceptance status of the abstract(s) via email. Please make sure your e-mail address is current and correct in order to receive continuous notifications related to your abstract. No other form of notification will be provided.
The general criteria for consideration of abstracts by the Scientific Program Committee are originality, purpose of study, methodology/design, results and conclusions. Nimmagadda Award for Best Resident Abstract The Nimmagadda Award for Best Resident Abstract is presented by the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists in honor of Usharani Nimmagadda, MD, an anesthesiologist passionate about teaching and research in anesthesiology. Dr. Nimmagadda has been an active member of the ISA for over 30 years and served as president of the society (2005-2006). The Nimmagadda Award is presented to the author of the best resident abstract and announced during the upcoming Midwest Anesthesiology Conference, where he or she will receive $250 and a plaque. To be considered for the Nimmagadda Award for Best Resident Abstract you must meet the following criteria: Be a resident, fellow or medical student at the time of submission Be present at the meeting Be the first named author Originality, purpose of study, methodology/design, results, conclusions and significance will be judged in considering the awards. The abstracts will be judged and monetary prizes will be awarded during the Nimmagadda Award for Best Resident Abstract presentation, taking place during the MAC lunch from 12:00pm – 12:45pm on Saturday, November 13, 2010.

- However, if your submission contains pictures, you should first save it
in web page (HTML) format and then upload that HTML file.
- In any case, please do not include the title or the author name(s) in the abstract text.
